Our family has been working in the forest since purchasing a private woodlot on Vancouver Island in 1974. An early champion of sustainable forestry, Grandpa Bill & Grandma Shirley who are now in their 80’s still actively manage the forest.
Today, Coastal Timbers is a local, second-generation sawmill and woodshop specializing in Douglas Fir custom timbers, rough lumber, reclaimed material from local historic buildings and kiln dried hardwoods.
